Well, the New Year has already got away and we’re fast approaching the Super Southern Swap and then Easter and pretty soon another Dream Tour.

I have been flat out building Pickups and cannot always answer the phone but the machine is always on and I do write down every message and attempt to return calls.

Stock has been selling well and I have received a couple of shipments, however many bodies have since sold. I will not be getting any USA stock until next buying trip in June and will need to know if you have any specific orders.

I have had some more videos copied and will be offering these until Easter, and then getting ready for Dream Tour 2002. The LA Roadster Video has been well received, being a professionally taped, edited and soundtracked highlights package of the show and swap. We are even selling them back to the Yanks. Dream Tour 2001 have also been a big hit.

I am having a clean out of some of my stock and will offer all those receiving this Newsletter first chance before they are advertised or taken to Super Southern Swap. Look for listing attached and remember they won’t last long.

Pickups

The first V8 Pickup was recently finished and delivered and we’re now finishing off another three and also starting our first budget V8 30 Coupe (Steel body). The building of cars is now becoming very busy and it highlights how many people are getting into Hot Rods lately.

This will keep me busy until mid year and then I will finish a couple of my own projects. I could squeeze one more driveaway Pickup before Christmas if necessary, but would need to know soon. Remember, $25,000 drive away, ready for Rego with Chev, Ford or Holden V8 and Auto running gear.

Well finally the old computer has crashed and after 8 weeks of surgery, we can’to fix it and will be upgrading to a new system and back on line soon.

I apologise for being off line so long and will catch up on A-mails and be back to timely replies by the end of February.

We will be updating the Tin Yard and favourite photos also.

Events

Old Tin will be at the Super Southern Swap Meet on Sites 1794/95/96 from 23 February, and also at Castlemaine Swap in April. We will also be at most Vic Rod Runs until end of April. Drop in and say G’day and see if I can help with your project.

Remember, we have lots of good secondhand parts for A Models either for Restorations or Hot Rods.
